Setting up ChatGPT in Post Studio is simple and quick. Follow these steps and you will have AI-generated content in no time. The feature is currently available to customers on our Unlimited plan at no additional cost. Skip to the bottom if you want to learn more about what the plugin does.

  1. Getting started with ChatGPT powered posts is simple, all you need to do is upgrade your account to the Unlimited Plan.

  2. Go back to the Post Center tab and select or create a campaign. Scroll down to the template section and check the box that says "Use ChatGPT to create your posts" You will notice the template change to a prompt that will be sent to ChatGPT. You may leave this alone or modify it. As you can see, the prompt still works as a template and you can still use the built-in variables for your post.

  3. You may test the prompt by editing the prompt content and clicking the "Preview Chat GPT Response" button. This will scroll to the post preview and show what ChatGPT came up with. IMPORTANT: This prompt will be sent to ChatGPT each time a post is generated, meaning the preview you see here will be different than the final post. ChatGPT does not guarantee correctness or appropriate content, regardless of what the prompt is.

  4. Save your campaign and enjoy the power of ChatGPT writing you posts for you!

Why am I here and what does this actually do?

If you stumbled upon this guide out of curiosity and want to learn more about the basic purpose of this plugin, here's a quick breakdown:

ChatGPT is an AI engine that takes in a "prompt" and response with it's best answer. In our case, we want it to come up with creative, engaging, and product-specific social media content to advertise our Shopify products. Think of this plugin as something that allows you to have a marketing expert write a social post caption for each of your Shopify products. When combined with Post Studio, you're able to harness AI to replace repetitive post templates with rich, creative text to support your social media posts.

With Post Studio, you can use your own prompt template to send to ChatGPT. Here's a simple example.

This is what you can edit in Post Studio: 

Create a social media marketing post caption for Facebook. The product has these details: 
Product Description: {PRODUCT_DESCRIPTION} 
Product Title: {PRODUCT_TITLE} 
Product Tags: {PRODUCT_TAGS} 
Product SKU: {PRODUCT_SKU} 
Vendor Name: {VENDOR_NAME}
