To use the Post Studio App for scheduling posts on Instagram and Facebook, you must have a Facebook Business Account. This account is required because Instagram’s and Facebook’s APIs for post scheduling, analytics, and other advanced features are managed through Facebook’s platform. Setting up your accounts and linking them ensures Post Studio can handle all of your content.

Step-by-Step Guide: Setting Up Facebook Business Manager and Instagram Business

Step 1: Set Up a Facebook Business Manager Account

Why: Facebook Business Manager lets you manage both your Facebook and Instagram accounts in one place, and it’s required to connect the two platforms for Post Studio.

How to set up:

2. Click Create Account and enter your business details (business name, email, etc.).

3. Follow the prompts to verify your email address.

Note: Once you’re inside Business Manager, you’ll be able to manage all your Facebook Pages, Instagram accounts, and ad campaigns from one dashboard.

Step 2: Create a Facebook Business Page

Why: A Facebook Business Page is needed to represent your business on Facebook and is required to link to your Instagram account for scheduling posts.

How to check if you already have one:

1. Log in to Facebook.

2. Click on the Pages section from the sidebar on the left.

• If you see your business listed there, you already have a page.

• If not, you’ll need to create one.

How to create a Facebook Page:

1. In Facebook Business Manager, go to Pages in the left-hand sidebar.

2. Click Add a PageCreate a New Page.

3. Follow the instructions to add your business details, including your name, category, and description.

Step 3: Set Up an Instagram Business Account

Why: Instagram requires a Business Account to allow scheduling posts through its API.

How to check if you already have one:

1. Open the Instagram app and go to your Profile.

2. Tap SettingsAccount.

3. Scroll down—if you see an option that says Switch to Professional Account, you don’t have a Business Account yet. Follow the prompts to create one.

How to create:

1. Open Instagram and go to your Profile.

2. Tap SettingsAccountSwitch to Professional Account.

3. Select Business and follow the setup steps.

Step 4: Link Instagram to Facebook via Business Manager

Why: Linking your Instagram account to Facebook allows you to manage Instagram posts and content scheduling directly from Business Manager.

How to link:

1. In Facebook Business Manager, go to AccountsInstagram Accounts.

2. Click Add and log in to your Instagram Business account to link it.

3. Confirm the connection between your Facebook and Instagram Business accounts.

That’s It!

Once you’ve set up your Facebook Business Manager, Facebook Page, and Instagram Business account, and linked them, you’re ready to use the Post Studio App to schedule and manage posts across both platforms. Now you can easily automate your content and access valuable analytics!
